Movies...

(The original post is on my wordpress blog, so if you check that, sorry for the repetitiveness!)
A few weeks ago, I was on my break from school, so I have been taking in some great R&R. Anyway, so last night I watched In Her Shoes, which I’ve seen before, but it had been a while. I forgot how much I liked that movie! I stayed up watching it until early into the morning, but was actually paying attention to it, which is surprising being that it was about 2:30 in the morning before it was over! At the very end of the movie Maggie, Cameron Diaz, reads a poem by E. E. Cummings called, I Carry Your Heart with Me. I absolutely love this poem, and thought I would share it with you! So here you go!

Over and out!

Lo!

I carry your heart with me

(I carry it inmy heart)

I am never without it

(anywhere I go you go,my dear; and whatever is doneby only me is your doing,my darling)

I fear no fate

(for you are my fate,my sweet)

I wantno world

(for beautiful you are my world,my true)

and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meantand whatever a sun will always sing is you
here is the deepest secret nobody knows

(here is the root of the root and the bud of the budand the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which growshigher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)

and this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart
I carry your heart

(I carry it in my heart)
